Not first flight but close...

As in the last post, I missed the initial flight of the eaglets that I have been following all summer.  This is a few pictures of one of the immature eagles coming in to roost.  On this shoot 8/13/2024 both of the adults were already on roost and this one returned to the area to roost.  I did not see the second eaglet return on this shoot.

 

Eaglet Update...

 I followed the eaglets from a fuzzy grey ball to ready to fly.  I missed the first flight, but there are plenty of pictures documenting the growth and development.  I was hoping they would stick around the nest area after the first flight.  The last shoot I had was 21 of July, I returned for the next shoot 2 weeks later and the eaglets have left the nest.  Due to commitments I had made I was unable to get back in time for the eagles first flight. 

All of these pictures are duplicates that are arranged in order with the date that I took the picture.
